Before you decide to take legal action, it's important to understand the situation clearly and if there's anything else that can be done. Make the most of our helpline by speaking to our dedicated legal specialists, and you may be able to avoid taking legal action at all.

Our helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Available to you if you need to speak to a dedicated legal specialist, who can advise on whether or not you need to take legal action. 

 

Cover for legal fees and costs for up to £100,000

If you've consulted with our helpline team and you need to take legal action, you can get up to £100,000 of cover for legal expenses. In addition, we'll also cover members of your household at no extra cost.

Pursuit or defence of:

  • Personal injury claims
  • Employment disputes, such as unfair dismissal, discrimination and issues with parental leave (excludes self-employed)

  • Civil disputes with your neighbours
  • Damage to your personal property caused by someone else
  • Disputes relating to a purchase
  • Tax enquiries by HMRC
  • Replacement of salary lost while on jury service

Important to know

  • You are only covered for the home you live in, not other properties you may own
  • The claim event must have occurred during the period of insurance
  • The appointed legal firm will need to consider how successful your claim is likely to be (needs at least a 51% chance of winning)
